Results may show:
A positive result indicates an LH surge, suggesting ovulation is likely to occur within the next 24 to 36 hours. A negative result means ovulation has not yet been detected.

Additional notes:
LH levels rise rapidly before ovulation. This test is often used over several days to accurately identify the fertile window.
